Restaurant in Riyadh: Desi Restaurants

Restaurant in Riyadh: Desi Restaurants
Sure, Riad is a place for foodies - you name it, you are it (assuming it is halal) get - The other day I mentioned that I intend to write about my favorite Desi places to eat in Riyadh in American Bedu post, so here you go. There are many desi restaurants almost everywhere in Riyadh - but I want to mention those who have the family dining options are available.

Lahori Khaabay

It is actually in Hayi al Murraba - but they call it Al Hayi Wazaraat aka Hara - from Khurais Road, take the exit of Maather Street, according to the traffic light to skip, then take U-turn and take the third right, after 200 to 300 meters on the right side, you will find this restaurant. Service is sometimes very slow and you might tend to get angry - but their Roti is typical Lahori Roti and do not forget their chickens Chillies and their lunch buffet (18 SR per capita) try - Daily lunch buffet with a wide range of dishes, the Haleem, Nihari, Biryani, Mutton Karahi, Kheer and some other dishes are - worth a try.

Toledo

My first experience was not really my first experience - when I was their with my colleagues with Riyadh was very well known restaurant Desi - and in more than 30 minutes - but he never actually tried - We ordered something from a la carte menu claim took to wait and still there was no sign of food arrived - so we left without eating. Second time we were there and had good service and more than above average food quality - do not forget to try their butter naan with Chaanp (Lamb Ribs). 2 pax meal should cost no more than 50 to 70 SR. On the same street as the Lahori Khaabay to take the next traffic light and make a U-turn and on the right side of Toledo.

Hayat restaurant

By far, I'd this as the best restaurant I have eaten Rate Desi Food in Riyadh - food quality, service is excellent. They try their Chicken Green Masala, Special Nihari, Aalu Keema, Aalu Gosht, Chicken Biryani and I personally did not like their Naan / Roti / khubas but after most of my friends - this is very good. On the same street of Lahori Khaabay to take from the traffic lights, let the first U-turn at the next U-turn at intersection Dabbab Street, make a U-turn and on the right side Hayat had his restaurant. A dinner for 2 should cost no more than 60 to 80 SR.

Khayyam restaurant

King Abdul Aziz Road / Khurais Street / Marriot, turn left and then take to the right of the traffic lights - at the end of the road, make a U-turn and on the right is Khayyam Restaurant - I've heard that it used to have the best rated restaurant when management was with original people - but then the sponsor brought other guys and the standard on falling with each passing day held - but I would not rated it be so bad - it's actually quite well - your Reshmi kebabs are delicious! Pathooras to eat from Lahore / Pakistan and dyeing - off you go - this is the only place in my knowledge where you can get the Pathooras in Riyadh - Your Shahi Tukras are not bad - definitely worth a try - a average meal for 2 people would be about 40-50 SR.

There are a few restaurants in Hayi Al Wazaraat with family restaurants like Mehraab restaurant - you are their best during Ramadan Sehri - The Alu Paratha & Clear Paratha worth a try - Important: Add item up do not assume any toilets have - so that it which are a little more details are required and will be published soon Inshallah -) Oh yes - there are a few other Desi Restaurants in Olaya district and Tahliya and some others, could get risky for you.
