Workers might have been confused regarding the Iqama status
color coding like red, green and yellow and what are they representing? Good
news because the kingdom is already providing a flat form that will simplify
all our needs. They launched a website just to address this issue.
Green Iqama Status
This means that your sponsor is complying the labor code or
labor law and that you are very legal to work inside the kingdom without fear from
the authorities.
Red Iqama status
This means that your sponsor is not complying the labor code
or labor law and that your sponsor must go to the labor ministry and fix
whatever legal things that needs to be done in accordance with the labor law
before it can affect your job and to avoid possible deportation.
Yellow green Iqama Status
This color code is sometimes misleading and people saw it as
green and just seat, wait and pretending nothing to worry about. But I think
they are wrong, yellow green simply means that your sponsor is already started
the procedures for the labor code and sooner or later yellow Green will turned
to green if things from the labor ministry will go as planned.
How to check iqama status?
You can now check the status of your iqama online by vesting
the ministry of labor website. The website is in Arabic format but you need not
to worry because you just simply type in your iqama number followed by captcha
security and you’re done, the results will then appear on the right bottom of
the website.
